Logo Design Brief

A recently created "International Arabidopsis Informatics Consortium" (IAIC) is looking for a pair of matched logos to convey the impression of plants (those green things that grow outside) combined with informatics. The specific plant in question is Arabidopsis, which has a very characteristic leaf shape.

One logo should be for the IAIC, and the other for a web-portal that it is developing, the Arabidopsis Information Portal (AIP). We had been discussing somehow incorporating the Arabidopsis leaf and the internation symbol for information, an "i" with a circle around it, as part of these logos, which will be used to imprint websites. The logos should scale to small sizes well.

Requirements

Must have

• theme of information (either a variation on internation symbol for information, an "i" with a circle around it, or a play on binary 0-1 that computers use) and of Arabidopsis, perhaps a leaf or a rosette (collection of leaves).

Should not have

• logo should not be fussy nor render poorly in a small size nor grey-scale.
