Temuco Partnership is a family owned farming business that produces Black Angus beef cattle located in the New England region of NSW near Walcha in the Yarrowitch Valley. We are looking for a logo that can be imprinted on shirts, hats etc linked to the Temuco Partnership name and beef cattle. Temuco is the name of the property and has been in the family since just after the second world war.
The bulls are purchased from Dulverton Angus (commercial Angus stud) to produce calves with a self replacing herd. Angus cattle, known as Aberdeen Angus in most parts of the world, are a breed of cattle commonly used in beef production. They were developed from cattle native to the counties of Aberdeenshire and Angus in Scotland. Angus cattle are naturally polled and solid black or red although the udder may be white. The native colour is black, but more recently red colours have emerged. The UK registers both in the same herd book, but in the US they are regarded as two separate breeds – Red Angus and Black Angus.
Yarrowitch is a parish and a small rural locality on the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales, Australia. It is located in the picturesque Yarrowitch River Valley on the Oxley Highway 48 kilometres east of Walcha. The settlement is included in the Walcha Shire Local Government Area in the New England region. The locality is at an elevation of about 995 metres and the area is part of Vernon County.
Walcha is known as the "Pasture Wonderland" as the dominant industry in the area is livestock grazing along with an expanding timber industry. The district usually runs about 937,000 sheep (mostly Merinos) and around 85,500 stud and commercial beef cattle. Livestock produced in the Walcha district is some best in the country and local superfine wool has been acknowledged as some of the best in the world. Walcha town associates with the rugby union team which has a red and white striped jersey. The natural beauty of the Shire is quite breathtaking. The Shire is home to the magnificent Macleay Gorges and boasts some 205,000 hectares of dedicated national parks, wilderness and state forest. Parts of our Werrikimbe National Park are World Heritage listed.
