A start-up company, based in Australia, made up of highly experienced communications professionals who have previously worked in large recruitment marketing/advertising agencies in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. We work with global and local clients and brand names across all sectors, large and small.
The full company name is Shadow Communications Consultancy, with a strapline 'bigger on the inside'. We would like the logo to read SHADOWCOMMS and the strapline 'bigger on the inside' to be incorporated into the logo as another version in some way.
Design-wise, we would like something stylish and contemporary but not something that will quickly date. Not too corporate (e.g. law firm, financial etc) and not cartoony or too far the other way, e.g. KFC!). Nothing too heavy in look or colour (avoid black/red). Personal likes are dark grey/light grey/olive green but of course happy to consider others. Font needs to be modern, contemporary but also something that can translate into documents (we write a lot of proposals). The eventual style will need to be developed into document templates, powerpoint, business cards etc.
Avoid cliches (e.g., obvious shadows of clouds, and no use of people images!) although subtle use of shadow on words/letters etc is ok.

Requirements
Must have
- Logo needs to be flexible to be used either horizontal and vertical, also convert to grayscale. Will be used on documents/presentations too, so will eventually extend to a template once chosen. Would like to see Shadowcomms logo on its own, and also incorporating the strapline.
Nice to have
- Preference is for something light, contemporary, stylish and elegant - classy not low-cost, but not too corporate either. Think ad agency (comms agency).
Should not have
- See project description. No red/black.
