As mentioned in the brief... we may also put the same or companion message on a giant 7foot ?yellow? beach ball to get some attention. We will bring this to our skin cancer screening events and want it to get peoples attention, and motivate them to take better care of protecting their skin and getting it checked regularly.

If so... feel free to use your creativity to merge these efforts.

The following is just an idea to get some creative juices flowing....

Ie: "It Takes Big Balls to....."
?protect your skin from the sun?
?avoid a tan?
?wear a hat?
?Get checked for skin cancer?

Again... the above is for inspiration only.
I'm not in love with any of the above... just some ideas...

I have changed this to a committed contest.

Remember.... This message is for the public. Not for the medical community.
Be bold. Be creative. Be clever. Make the message have an impact. Make a difference!

Thank you everyone who has been submitting work. Some really great ideas!
I wanted to remind everyone that this should not be a "technical" or "scientific" message. I know I included some samples of these, but that is likely NOT the way to go. If you are considering using a statistic or fact, feel free to message me with a draft or run some ideas by me - so that we can devote your time to being as productive as possible. I am happy to discuss any ideas before you commit to them.

Broad Simple Bold Message, for the general public's eye.

So even if you don't know much about skin cancer, don't worry about it. Here are some simple ideas that may help make this easier...

1. Skin cancer risk is related to sun exposure and/or tanning bed exposure. So protecting your skin from these (hats, sunglasses, shade, etc) can help reduce your risk of getting skin cancer. ie: tanning booth = bad. sun burn = bad. shade = good. On that note, the sun is strongest (and most damaging to the skin) between 10am-4pm.

2. Skin cancer can be detected by a dermatologist looking at your skin, and when found early is easily treated in the office

3. There are several types of skin cancer, but one called Melanoma is potentially deadly. This one is particularly scary because it can look like a flat freckle - and can affect all ages (including younger patients).

Hope this gives some good background so that everyone feels comfortable with putting forward designs for review.

Best

Some great new work. Thank you!
Just as a reminder, this is not a logo project, but more of a slogan.

The slogan must have a sun protection/skin safety message.

Anyone have thoughts on how to use
"A burning issue"
in a meaningful way?

Thanks again everyone! Great work so far!!
