Logo Design Brief
We are a new expansion division of Genentech, a BioTech Pharma company.
We are in the Hematology Franchise, which means we promote targeted immunologic therapies given either alone or with chemo for cancers of the blood (Leukemia and Lymphoma).
We are a new expansion division in the process of branding ourselves. We have identified a team name which is the:
HEARTLAND PRIDE.
Team tag line: OK-I'M N!
We are a team of 9 that covers MO, IA, NE, KS, OK (hence the tag line).
We just did a team Strengthscopes exercise in which identified our team strengths as:
Relationships/Collaboration/Efficiency/Self Confidence/Resilience/Enthusiasm/Compassion.
In our meeting when discussing team name and logo we want our name and logo to be what we stand for and conjure an image of how we want others to see us- something we can be proud of and identify with.
We envisioned a Lion in the logo as when we think of Heartland and Pride that comes to mind and we like what the Lion stands for- proud, strong, king of his domain, stealth, masterful, powerful, etc. We began joking about the Lion King, playing the theme song, and calling our boss Moofassa, so as you can see we are a playful group also. Our company has a great casual intensity kind of culture and identifies with the motto- Work Hard, Play Hard, Give Back.
Also when we think of Lions and blood cancers we envision some red in the logo as well.
