Wordpress Design Brief

This project is for 3 page designs - The main Home page design, department page design & content page design which will utilize most of the home page components.


Client Background - http://www.wpbinc.com

An almost Forty year old established printing company that has a large client base of architect/engineering, as the print shop opened up as a blueprinting company, and over the years has grown, changed and expanded to offer document and digital file management for this industry. WPBInc. has also always offered color printing services, but recently has expanded their color department to be able to offer amazing dimensional printing, and extreme cutting technology.

These new products and services will be targeted to new industries for repeatable printing needs, promotional, point of purchase color printing, as well as in-store, interior decor/wall. These new printing services are only offered by WPBINC in their area, and they want to convey that they are on the leading edge of color printing technology, while at the same time, not eliminating their existing primary business scaring away their traditional client base of architectural/engineering firms that use them for large format printing, scanning and document management services.

1 - Home Page Design
Primary Goals of the design:

1.Provide a new, eye catching engaging website that conveys the above expansion/growth/cutting edge company.
2.Full screen design please to move away from the 'center' bordered up website they currently have.
3.Design Components – We don't have any media to provide you with exception of our logo. We're looking for fresh design that is exciting and engaging imagery. Additionally, we are working on a color/effected version of our logo to place on the color division page, and this will probably tie in with the design you create for us.
4.It should be designed to be able to work as a responsive design as well so that when installed, will work across devices etc..
5.Colors – Same color scheme, but if you have an accent color you'd like to use to make the site pop, go for it!

Requirements:
1.The 4 divisions of the company should be the main feature so that the client depending on which department they are needing, will see those 4 choices clearly in the design, and they'll know to click on one of them to get more information and to their needed services.

2.The main goal of the site is to get visitors to place an order, there should be a feature on the home page for this call to action.

3.Put in an element that communicates the main benefit of WPBInc. - an area for a 1-line Statement/Call to Action / Overall Company Benefit/

4.The 4 divisions need to have eye catching elements related to their products and services, and that clearly illustrate that the user should click on that to go to the appropriate area for products and services

Reprographics
This department is specifically geared to architect/engineering industry

Color Graphics
This Department is newly expanded / has expanded services / they are focusing more of their efforts on this department and is a key reason for updated website design.
This Department image/representation should be stellar in the imagery to convey the excellence of the color department the services availble.
One of their newest products/services is dimensional printing – not 3-D, but raised element printing. Essentially a client could pick components on their graphic that that they want to 'bump' out, and additional layers would be put in place to create a popped out, dimensional effect. * Bonus points for creating the color department image that effectively conveys this new service – whether it's showing an abstract image/element that is actually raised off the page/paper/component. Additionally the color dimensional printing can be done on practically any material – glass, vinyl, material etc.... Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

Equipment & Supplies
This department provides specific supplies and hardware vs. printing products/services. Our largest client base is architects/engineers, but is not limited to this industry. Typical equipment is large printers, and supplies are typically paper products geared to the large format printing services, for the architect/engineers industry.

2.) Department/Division Page design -

This page should pull the home page element to over based on which division is selected.
Have a submenu design incorporated so that users can navigate to all the products and services that will be listed under that division
Contain a plugin design for FAQs – so that depending on which division page they are on, the appropriate FAQ's would display for use to have easy access to.

After the contest – What would be great to have is when a user clicks on one of the departments, it takes that visual element and continues onto it's department page for a smaller but related image - But this may be an after this web design contest.

Additionally will need some other design work on the interior pages, as well, so hoping to find a great designer to complete the other tasks – as well as be the go-to for future endeavors!
