Web Design Brief

I need an original template designed in Wordpress (Wordpress 3.0+ compatible with widget support) for a legal website. The template should be designed so that 2 language versions of the same site can be supported at the same time (e.g., clicking on the language link on the upper right hand side will switch the content from English to another language). Also, the template should be flexible enough that I can add additional tabs, navigation as needed as part of the widgeting process.

The overall theme of my website should be to look simple, elegant, smart and professional.

I am envisioning 5 templates (see attached document for details of each tab and further project description).

6 tabs along the upper portion of the website, going left to right. There should be three different types of templates:

a. Home page (1st tab) that supports adds to the tabs on top for all pages.

b. Content page Level 1 (2nd tab (“Attorney/Staff Profiles”) and 3rd tab (“Practice Areas”)), general content with navigation that supports nearly unlimited adds to the left nav in terms of content areas.

c. Content page Level 2 (2nd tab (Actual bios of attorney/staff) and 3rd tab (Actual crimes and types of cases my firm handles)), deeper level.

d. Free Case Evaluation page (4th tab) that a potential client can easily fill ou.

e. FAQ Section page (5th tab), that has answers to questions a potential client may have.

f. .Contact Us page (6th tab) that I can easily place a contact us form.

There should also be a link on the homepage to a “Locate Us” page (Link), where I can place our address with Google Maps. This link will not be in the tabs sections up top. Currently, I’m thinking the link with a small icon for a map, will be near the bottom of the home page. Will need template for maps.

Please provide specific portfolio examples of Wordpress templates that you have created. Also note that once the project is complete, all intellectual property rights pertaining to this project will be owned by me.

Dear All,

Just to make it clear.  I would like you to submit a concept of the home page by the deadline.  I will select a winner based on the concept.  After I have selected you, I will give you about a one-week timeframe to finish and submit a final working website to me.  After I approve it, then I will pay you.

Also, please do not use flash.  Meta tags for each page will be provided.

Just to get you started in the right direction, I have included some samples for you.  Keep in mind that although I like certain aspects of these sample websites, the directions I gave in my attachment file regarding website structure should take precedence.

Keep in mind that my law firm does not just focus on one field of law.  Therefore, I do not want you to design a website focusing only on criminal defense, for example.

Below are the samples.  Just because I used these samples doesn't mean I like everything about them.  Please use your creativity to make my website look simple, elegant, smart, and professional.  Thank you very much!

1.  http://www.chicagodefensefirm.com/

2.  http://www.mcgillimmigrationlaw.com/

3.  http://www.speakerlawfirm.com/  (I don't like the color scheme here)

4.  http://www.wehatejail.com/  (I don't want a photo of people or their awards/credits. I just want a professional, elegant photo there.)
