Logo Design Brief

A logo to be used on a new product being designed and built for the US Navy. The product is a large mobile air conditioner used to cool Navy planes while on the ground or on a carrier. There are two acronyms used that may be combined or treated as separate elements. SVAC stands for Shipboard Variant Air Conditioner and is used on carriers and their associated aircraft. LVAC stands for Land-based Variant Air Conditioner and is used at Naval Air Bases. The logo may combine the two acronyms such as S/LVAC. The two variants are very similar in design and construction, except that the SVAC is smaller and runs on electricity only while the LVAC includes a diesel generator for untethered operation. The logo will embellish many different aspects of the product including a proposal to the Navy, technical documents, the operator panel, and marketing materials.

Target Market(s)

The target customer is the Navy in general. At a more refined level are engineers who will evaluate the design of the product. Customers will also include users of the equipment.
