Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company called Pastures Moo, the lean book company, based in England. We're an ebook publishing company who's simple business plan and vision is "Everyone has a book inside them".

We want to inspire people to write books. Our service lets people vote for the books they'd like to read to help encourage the best ideas to happen. We're adapting the service so authors are guided forward using lean start up methodologies.

We want to help people get their creations out there fast so they can learn from the feedback they receive and either re-publish their book or try something new.

We'd like to see designs that consider clean typography combined with a graphical element that could be used as a mark on the back cover of user published books. Please avoid cartoon styles.

Ideally the logo will span horizontally rather than vertically and allow for adaptation to a square format (possibly just using the graphical element) for social networking profile icons and app icons.

We are aiming for a very clean, spacious overall design to the website so no dark backgrounds please. We have a number of full colour photography pictures being used within the site design and would prefer the logo to be strong but not too busy. Most likely no more than two colours but we're flexible and open to ideas.

We're big on customer experience and really want to deliver the unexpected. Revenue is no where near as important to us as designing an amazing customer experience.

Inspiring, Zen, Creative, Adventurous, Smart.

The final design should communicate trust, be slightly eccentric, and spark peoples adventurous 'have a go' attitude.

The name Pastures Moo comes from a desire to try something new and we think cows look cool.
