Logo Design Brief

Need a logo for organized fast pitch stickball league. We go by MLSB - Major League Stickball. We play on asphalt schoolyards (no grass or dirt) and use aluminum bats and shaved/burnt tennis balls. See the videos for live action of our game.

We have a very, very crappy logo currently and need something that incorporates the bat and maybe the ball and a hitter. We use a strike zone that is 2' wide and 3' tall that is screwed into the wall that the hitter stands in front of. The camera angle on these videos has the camera mounted on the wall just above the strike zone. Attached a pic of a batter on the wall with an angled view....Maybe a side view or frontal view would work.....

The essence of this game is the long 40" custom made aluminum bat ( 1.5" diameter) and the use of a shaved tennis ball. We have tshirt uniforms but are not dressed like a regular baseball player. Typically shorts or sweatpants. You will see in the videos. The league is extremely competitive. We have some ex-minor league pitchers and some of them can throw up to 90mph from 55.5 feet (major league mound is 60.5'). I cannot stress how competitive this league is - sometimes you will go 0-7 in a game and then hit a game winning shot. The league is a min of 3 players....so hitters get a lot of plate appearances (7-10 versus 3-5 for regular baseball).

I've also attached a design of one of the team shirts that is currently being produced. That's a pic taken from Daredevil by Joe Quesada and I added the bat.....

This logo would have to fit and be legible on a sleeve shirt, in physical print on forms and signs. Logo would have to work on both white and dark backgrounds.

Attached a pic of the bat making contact with the ball. Since we use shaved tennis balls that we burn with a blowtorch prior to use, when the bat hits the ball you can see a puff of smoke explode. It's pretty awesome.

Adding a picture of our bat and balls. We don't use normal bats. They are much longer (40") and aluminum. We don't use baseballs either.
