Logo Design Brief
We seek a logo design for Paradox Eyes, the short story / photography / video division of an entertainment company start-up. The creative principal behind this company, Anson Decker has several business ventures all of which include some form of written and visual entertainment. He writes short stories, poetry and historical fiction novels. His business plan calls for an eventual move into merchandising characters and other aspects of his creative companies.
With respect to the short stories, Anson Decker writes in easy to understand plain English. Each story begins with a "Premise" providing insight to Anson's motivation and meaning. This of course, is not intended to replace individual interpretation readers are encouraged to cultivate but to help break down the barriers many experience that prevents them from enjoying poetry and short stories.
He is writing emotional stories targeted to the everyday person expecting to bring this art form to millions of people around the world who don't enjoy it today by making it more accessible and consumable. His target demographic are men and woman, ages 18 to 35. Making his approach more special and supporting his goal for rapid and simple reader consumption is the intent to use powerful, creative, artistic and visually intriguing photography to compliment each story. Anson refers to this unique approach as, "poemography", melding the arts of poetry and photography into its own special category.
Anson Decker's poetry and short story business is called, Paradox Eyes operating as a division of Anson Decker Entertainment. Paradox Eyes offers vignettes of poetry and photographic interpretations reflecting on life, hope, addictions and failures to convey the message that each of us are not alone. Paradox Eyes is about seeing the challenges and complexities of life more clearly and among those sharing an uncensored energetic pursuit of artistic creativity.

About this logo. We prefer to stay away from the obvious use of "eye" imagery. However, if you feel your design is classy, upscale, professional and compelling, it will be considered.
Paradox Eyes is about those inexplicable conflicts and life events that seemingly don't make sense on their surface, yet through further discovery help to explain the world in which we live. - We are looking for an abstract logo that includes a conceptual symbol. Keep in mind that we prefer not to use "eye ball" imagery unless you feel your design is very compelling.
Nice to have
- Be creative, unconventional. We want something that stands out in the crowded entertainment industry.
Should not have
- We would like to stay away from the obvious use of eyeball imagery in the logo design. However, if you feel your design is upscale, professional and classy it will be considered.
