Logo Design Brief

Hi. I'm a dance music (EDM) producer/DJ and I need a cool looking logo of my artist name 'Emulate' made. Need to look modern and perhaps a little 'retro futuristic' as my sound is a little inspired by 80s synthpop & disco.

Attached is my old real name logo which I like but want to change the name so I need a new design but this is a good example of something I like.
