Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for our blog. We created the old one just as a filler years ago and now we fill like we need to have a stronger brand. Our blog has health recipes, such as Paleo, gluten free, Vegan, dairy free and then articles on improving health. Some ideas are a take-off on the orange wedges we currently have. I would also like some ideas with my family represented in the logo. A lot of the blog is the story of our family's health journey. It's my husband and I, two adopted children and two biological children. Their current ages are 5 to 11. We put the logo on all our photos, Youtube videos, etc. so it needs to look good small but still look good in the blog header too. The colors should compliment the turquoise color on the blog menu. The logo colors do not have to match the current logo colors. I am uploading images of our current logo and a picture of our family for your reference, but really you should look at my blog at mynaturalfamily.com to get an idea of what our blog is all about. We want it to be professional looking but personable. We need a logo that will work on grayscale and in color. The logo can either be a Wordmark or with an icon, your choice. We would love to see a variety of ideas.
