Logo Design Brief

I like a logo for my new company that is doing Social media aggregation for social media properties. It should appeal to big brands and digital marketing agencies.

Here is a backgrounder of the solution:

Social hubs:
What and Why?

The Dilemma

The only reference to social media on the main website of Brands and Events are the ubiquitous Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google+ share etc. buttons.

These don’t give any impression of the type of interactions and communities developed on these networks.

As the number of social networks increases and popularity of them change, Companies and their brands have started to look at ways in which they can bring all their social networks into their brand-owned websites and create a community of interest(s).

What is a Social Hub?
Social hubs can give customers a snap shot interactive view of the activity on each of the chosen social networks. The use of a social hub is a growing trend among the bigger, global, social media savvy brands which have active social properties, often country-specific and they clearly want to bring that conversation and activity to their own site.

Social hubs tend to be content aggregation pages on a brands own website or Facebook Tab. Pulling feeds from the brands pages or fed by a # campaign on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, rss feeds and more. Social hubs can be used for Marketing campaigns, Sports (associations & clubs) Second screens for TV, Product launches, Business and Social events, Monitoring, Customer services and Support, Elections etc.

Why would you want a Social Hub?
If brands are making good use of the social networks in their own right, not just publishing the same thing to each of them, then they are actually useful if you are genuinely interested in that brand or community of interest. Giving you instant access to the most recent activity, Stars and Brand ambassadors and a group of like-minded folks on your browser. It also makes it easy to follow / like / join each of the networks directly from that page and react to campaigns or happenings in the world.
Social hubs:
Engage: 60% of website visitors pay more attention to a brand, spend more time on their website and stay engaged with brands/events that integrate social media onto their page.

Trust: Because you offer your customers great content through The Social Hub, it creates a sense of trust with your audiences. Over 60% of website visitors prefer to do business with brands that integrate social media onto their sites.

Amplify: The Social Hub increases the potential reach and lifetime of social media posts. Rather than having all your content live on social networks, increase the reach by exposing it to your website visitors as well (who may not be following you on your social networks).

Benefits
Depending on how prominently you place The Social Hub on your site, customers have seen an average 10-12% increase in traffic, 20% increase in time spent on site.
