Web Design Brief

We need a website DESIGN (no coding required) for a new interactive children's media book company called Nabee Productions.

We develop high-quality interactive children's books for the iPad/iPhone that seeks to delight and inspire young and old alike. Our stories are filled with heart and spirit, and we seek to breathe magic back into books so that people fall back in love with reading.

Nabee means "butterfly" in Korean. It plays on the idea that a caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly - and in the same way, our readers are transformed through the journey of experiencing our interactive books.

We're looking for something based on the ATTACHED LOGO DESIGN for our company. A website that's professional, modern, fun and inviting; easy to read and not-cluttered, but still portraying the feeling of innocence and childhood.

We're looking for something that resonates the magical experience we want to create for our readers. Specific requirements on pages, tabs, content, etc are below.

• There are 7 tabs on the Homepage of the website: HOME, MY SISTER, ABOUT US, CAREERS, NEWS, CONTACT US, SHOP. (But there is an extra page called YOUR SISTER, which will be a sub-page under My Sister).
  
  HOME
  • Would be great to have some key images of our book (3-4 screen shots) as the key focus of the homepage that automatically scroll through every few seconds. (Placeholder image attached). The images would link to the “My Sister” page.
  • Company logo (attached to brief) and slogan: “A new era of children’s media” quite prominent on page.
  • Key text content to be on page: “Nabee means “butterfly” in Korean. Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, Nabee Productions takes the reader on an unforgettable journey of metamorphosis through our stories. We turn children’s books into a high-quality interactive experience on mobile platforms - breathing magic back into books, and inspiring people to fall back in love with reading. Through our unique characters full of heart and spirit, our stories delight and inspire young and old alike.”

  MY SISTER
  • The title for this page is “My Sister’s Not Like Other Sisters”
  • There will be a little iPad/iPhone icon (placeholder attached) for this book.
  • There will be a link to the App Store to buy the app book.
  • Key text content on this page: “Our debut interactive media book is coming soon on the iPad and iPhone! “My Sister’s Not Like Other Sisters” touches on the beautiful and inextricable (albeit sometimes frustrating!) bond between sisters.”
  • There will be a section on “Features” which lists all the various special features the app book includes.
  • There will be a YouTube clip embedded into the page, which shows how the app book works.
  • A section that says: “Do you have a sister who’s not like other sisters? Share a photo and tell us about her!” which links to the sub-page “Your Sister”.
  • Under this, there may be the most recent few images submitted by the public, which when clicked on, would also link to the sub-page “Your Sister”.
  
  YOUR SISTER
  • The main text on the page: “Do you have a sister who’s not like other sisters? Share a photo and tell us about her!”
  • Main body of the page is a gallery of all the photos that have been submitted. If you click on each of the images, you get the comments that people have submitted with the photos.
  • The page would also have a Submit Comments Form, where people can upload a picture of their sister(s) and write a comment to accompany the image.
  
  ABOUT US
  • Introductory text on page: “It was a chance conversation at Wellington Airport, where two friends discovered they shared a dream to create quality children's media. Both of them were excited by the possibilities of using new digital platforms to inspire and educate a younger generation. From that idea Nabee Productions was born. We seek to be the chrysalis of story telling - to inspire the hearts and minds of our generation, and generations to come.”
  • Section to “Join the Mailing List” where they can put their email address in and submit.
  • Bios of 2x people with photos (bios in word doc attached) (do not have photos yet).
