We are starting a Violence Intervention Program for our emergency department (in Winnipeg, MB, Canada) for youth between the ages of 14 - 24.
The project will involve support workers meeting youth while they are still in the emergency department who have been injured by violence and then working with them for approximately one year out in the community - trying to break the cycle of violence (greater than 20% of youth typically get injured by violence again in the following year).
The title of our program is ED-VIP (Emergency Department Violence Intervention Program) (the hyphen is optional).
The final design of the logo should be youth-friendly ("i.e. cool") and should be adaptable for a website, t-shirts and printed material. It should communicate safety and trustworthiness (as the support workers will be wearing t-shirts with the logo on it).
Update: Of the logos submitted so far, we are definitely leaning towards a black and red colour scheme.
