Logo Design Brief

In February we're going on a 10 month travel around the world. We are a young couple looking for the adventure, travelling a mix between backpacking and hotels, food lovers and very keen on capturing the trip with photos and videos. To document our trip we are going to create a blog. We are still looking for a logo for the blog.
We already have quite a clear idea of what the logo could look like. We were thinking of two cartoon figures, of which the features are maybe a bit exaggerated. The figures should be us, Vanessa my girlfriend with Philippina roots and myself, a skinny Caucasian with a not very distinct mohawk. A picture of us is attached. Several single pictures of Vanessa and myself are attached.
The type of cartoon figure we can imagine is also attached. But we are open to suggestions. Vanessa should not be depicted in typical Asian dresses, only her eyes should point to the fact she is Asian. It would be good if the figures stood next to each other and held hands.
In the background we can imagine a globe or a plane, to show that we are traveling.
If possible we would like to see the writing "Bani & Stjepan" below the picture if that looks good. Those are our nicknames
The logo should be funny but also elegant at the same time. We want our blog to look very classy, minimalistic.
We think a black and white logo would represent that best, but perhaps also color might look nice.
