This is an ios app icon. I have upload some ideas ...

I have included two ideas. One has the dog coming back from the map. This dog can be our maskot and if that happens we will need multiple dog faces (smile , talk,sleep etc. ) for usage in the up coming website. 

Probably in our tease video we have to bring him in life.
At the top of the icon is them airport code of the array the travel guide is about. (that is going to change from app to app) At the bottom we would like to provide the company name.
Overall the app has orange - grey - white colors so that is why I came up with those two mockups.
1.We need a more artistic look and feel.
2.It would be nice to have a 3d illusion.
3.Maybe the message is not clear (ie the map has to be more clear )
4. As is probably known the icon has to be 114x114 for retina and 57x57 for older devices.
