3D Design Brief
We are currently using different style knob designs for our kitchen appliances. In order to build consistency throughout our range of appliances, we would like you to help us create a unique knob design.
Our aim is to increase our product recognition in the market and bring consistency to our products.
Requirements:
- Functional and Practical
- Distinctive – Unique.
- Ergonomic design: easy grip
- Easy to use: clockwise and anticlockwise
- Easy to use with greasy hands
- Easy to clean: avoid sharp inaccessible angles.
- Knob design must be 1 piece.
- Durable - the knobs will be made out of plastic with a coating to give a metal finish
- We will make the knob in 2 sizes: oven/cooktop (40mm diameter) and Cooker (50mm diameter)
- The knob fits on a round shaft with a flat keyway (D profile).The flat is 5mm wide and is orientated toward the pointer. The Shaft is 6mm Diameter and extends into the knob 14mm.
