T-shirt Design Brief
I need a t-shirt design for an adult co-rec ice hockey tournament. This is a private, invitation-only tournament made up entirely of friends, most of whom started skating as adults.
There are only 4 teams in the tournament. Last year's winning captain returns to captain again, challenged by 3 new captains selected by the organizer. All of the rest of the participants draw a card from a deck of standard playing cards to determine their team: Hearts, Spades, Diamonds or Clubs.
League teammates end up playing against one another. Brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, best friends, etc.
Most players show up for all games, even though they only play in half of them. Many beverages are consumed while watching/heckling the other teams.
The focus of the event is sportsmanship and fun, but competition is also a key element. Members of the winning team have their names inscribed on the Stacked Deck Cup and act as stewards of the cup until the next year's tournament.
While alcohol is a primary feature of the tournament for many, we have some who do not partake and the t-shirt needs to be suitable for all, so please avoid references to drinking.
The entire tournament lasts just 24 hours. It takes place in the Seattle, WA area.
What should the shirt design include?
-Dates: August 2 and 3, 2013
-7th annual Stacked Deck Hockey Tournament
-Do not use the term 'ice hockey'. While I have included 'ice hockey' on the listing title here for our European friends, just 'hockey' is sufficient for the shirt.
-up to 5 color logo suitable for printing on a white t-shirt
-the rest is up to you! I've attached a design of a shirt from a prior year. Something significantly different would probably be best; plenty of players still have and wear the example shirt.
