Web Design Brief

The following project should be completed in Wordpress.
A username and password would be given so the work can be completed, with all coding and programming directly on the server.

Consideration must be given that during the design/programming some other additions or changes may be necessary.

Homepage:
Part of home page with a background photo of Berlin.
A section showing the 2 different areas of interest
1. Middle to large events – link to this page
2. Special offers for tourist – link to this page
Also, 2 to 4 smaller boxes showing some Special Offers. This should have a link to each individual special offer, plus a link “All Special Offers” to the special offer page.
All necessary connection to social networks, Twitter, Facebook etc..

Events Page:
Similar to www.eventinc.de/eventlocation/berlin that the user can find information in different categories. In addition the user should be able to click on each offer and get more information.
Also to consider a quick photo search at the top of the page with a few of the categories: “Entertainment”, “Live music for the right atmosphere”, “Food arrangements”, “Special personal arrangements for your visit” etc.. Behind these like could be text, photos or both.

E-Mail form – request for event quotation
Should a user require info./quotation per e-mail about certain event location there should be a request button next to each event which opens up a form/questionnaire. On completion this can be send per email. This should present a list of questions that the user has to complete before they can send this per e-mail. Questions like:

Customers name
E-Mail address
Telefonnr number – Landline & Mobile
Date of event
How many people
Music required
Date of event
DJ required
Food required
Special requirements

It must clearly state in the email for which event object this request is, plus a reference number.

Special Offers (for tourist – eg. Boat trip or visit to a museum):
This page should contain the different offers for tourist.
The special offer page should show all Special Offers in the same format. One should be able to click on each “Special Offer” and get all the necessary info., plus photo gallery to attract the buyer.
Within each Special Offer there should be the chance to see different pictures (when more than one photo exist) with the mouse over. The user should see two arrows, so the user can click left or right to see the next photo.
The user should also be able to click on and get Special Offer details/information.

Our Service:
Similar to the present page called “holiday Event Management, which gives information about the service we can provide. (Please see attachment: 04_Service_page.jpg)
eg. “Party Preparation, Entertainment, Live music for the right atmosphere etc”
Possibly within the design photos of someone phoning – making it look like things are being arranged in an office or a pretty woman on the phone.

Berlin Today:
Should be room for text and photos. Possibly photo gallery.

”Good to know”
This page would also need to initially be deactivated as I presently don't have the info.
Filled with text and some diagrams fun of the information being given.
eg. Don't walk across the road when there is a red light – even if there are no cars to be seen anywhere.


History:
Should be on the same line as “Berlin Today”, with text photos, gallery etc. but there should be an obvious difference in the style of this page. There may even be some film added here.

Conditions
Conditions page or maybe this comes in the “Privacy” page: This is simply a page stating the conditions for events, payment, insurance etc. Here there could also be some small diagrams expression what the information is about.

Requirements

Must have

• The main focus event management but also giving a feeling of Berlin, photos etc.. with a slight nostalgic.
• The website gives a happy, warm feeling about Berlin
• A touch of retro/nostalgic design
• New page - Locations (for events) must be an easy to use seach page with information of locations where events can take place. This should have pictures and descriptions of event locations, with specific search filter like e.g.:
• Number of people, Type of event, Facilities, etc.
• A zoom on each picture.
• All these search possibilities should work through a navigation. There should be the chance to add new event locations through back-office or something similar.

Nice to have

• The text snippets being used on the present homepage could also be considered (If this fits in with the new design - is not a must). These snippets give the user straight quick to the point information (please see 001_simple_snippets_info)
• The new design could include the present pictures.
• Something in the design reflecting Berlin's past, giving a nostalgic, slightly romantic feeling would be preferred.
• Maybe giviing an atmosphere of the golden 20,s. - Something old/something new

Should not have

• Prefer not too many dark background colours
