Web Design Brief

We need a web design for a new charitable trust based in New Zealand. With the economic downturn, charities are finding it increasingly difficult to raise the monies they need to deliver their services.

Using a network of fundraisers working out of their homes, GoodTrade (our charitable trust) will source unique, high interest auction items on behalf of multiple charities - things like luxury cruises, exotic travel, luxury accommodation, fine dining, unique experiences with sports and entertainment personalities, tickets to sporting and entertainment events, etc.

Once we have sourced sufficient high value items we will then partner with TradeMe (NZ's equivalent of eBay) to launch the auction. The proceeds from each auction will benefit up to 6 charities. The auctions will be promoted through TradeMe, through PR, and through the communications channels of the benefiting charities, reaching a wider audience than would be possible if just one charity was holding an auction and therefore resulting in more competitive bidding and higher returns for the charities.

We need a web site that we can point potential donors of auction items to, that gives them confidence in GoodTrade. We will also leverage the web site with journalists. And of course, charities who are wondering whether or not to use GoodTrade will come to our web site and check out our credentials. The tone of the site needs to be warm, friendly, approachable.

We are not locked into the blue and orange colors of the logo and in fact are experimenting with other colors as we speak.

Please note that what we're looking for is the design for the home page, plus a sub page design.
