Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a homebuilding company in Oklahoma called DeMarco Properties, LLC. The successful designer would also get a gig to develop a related logo for sister company DeMarco Constructors, LLC. Ideally it would be a two- or three-color logo suitable for multiple uses--truck-door logos, invoice headers and yard signs. Have an idea to convert one of the attached stylized photos into a line drawing (there's probably software for that). Ideal fonts would convey architectural feel - maybe something by Frank Lloyd Wright or Architectural Flux or Frank's Architect. Competition in my area is very old school and I'm not looking to say "traditional," I'm looking to say, "smart and creative."
