Illustration Design Brief

We're launching a new magazine about how big companies develop new products and innovate. Our cover story will focus on failure. We'd like an illustration that will go across the bottom of two pages (about 13 inches wide by 3 inches high) that shows some kind of failed attempt to design a trophy or Oscar-style award, in a kind of storyboard, sequential format. One thought is to show, from blueprint to finished product, five or six different stages of designing a trophy or other award that just turns out all wrong. But we're open to any fun way to show an award or trophy design process that goes awry in some way. (What would the Vince Lombardi trophy look like after a committee got done with it?) It should be identifiable as a trophy or award or plaque, but the design process goes off the rails. Illustrations can be cartoony or as fun as you want. Final illo should be a high-res JPG.
