Logo Design Brief

The Active Leader is a fun, fit and energetic small business marketing and personal branding consultancy after a logo design!

I'm a sole-trader, recently having started my own marketing consultancy specialising in small business marketing and personal branding. I provide marketing advice and services to small businesses and individuals.

I chose the name "The Active Leader" as I'm also a personal trainer, and want to weave this training as well as a healthy and active mindset into the marketing advice and small business management services that I provide. I believe the notion that a healthy, active, firing-on-all-cylinders business owner will get the most out of their business.

I'm therefore after a logo that can convey:
- A modern, classy, clean-lines design - no flowery, whimsical designs. Nothing generic, definitely nothing IT-software looking, etc.
- Conveys active, fit, healthy living. Plays on The Active Leader concept described above. Get creative!
- Full colour, but that can be converted easily into a mono/black and white design.
- Something that utilises an icon together with the words The Active Leader. The icon would ideally be stand-alone or could be pulled out to be a stand-alone design element.
- 2x sub logos utilising the same look and feel as the parent logo (ala FedEx suite), with "Small Business Marketing" in smaller font alongside one and "Personal Branding" on the other ie. one will have "The Active Leader Small Business Marketing" and the other "The Active Leader Personal Branding"
- The logo would ideally be able to be converted into a short and long style version ie. a logo that can be placed in a smaller area, and also converted into eg. a horizontal version for long skinny areas. This not essential, but will be favoured.

Must have

• A relevant icon to accompany 'The Active Leader' text.
• Colour!!

Nice to have

• Fitness or health references - ie. I wouldn't be opposed to a tasteful, well placed 'bicep' or similar, or a yoga pose (similar to those attached) as a craftily placed character/letter in one of the words...but please - don't be crowded by my suggestions, think outside the box!
• Bold and confident - like the business owner I'm trying to attract. I want to convey professionalism, that I mean business, that I know Marketing and can help the business owner succeed with their marketing strategy.

Should not have

• Flowery, whimsical design.
