Logo Design Brief

The company is going to be called 'Visalia Senior Errand Services'. I focus primarily on senior citizens. I can go grocery shopping, go to the post office, go to the car wash, make appointments, wait for a service man at the house and other similar errands.

The logo should have a vintage 1940-50's feel. The man will be driving a convertible car with the top down at an angle similar to the samples. The car will be in the style of a 1940-50's convertible car. It doesn't have to be a specific car as long as it looks vintage. I like the highlighting in the Timo's logo I attached.

I would like the art itself to look like an inked drawing. The outlines should have life to them and vary in thickness. Try to make the colors match with the rest of the logo to make it cohesive. The man should be around age 35. He's wearing khaki pants and a polo shirt.

I like the red, tan and black just like in the sample 1 garage ad but you don't have to be stuck to those colors. Maybe have him holding a couple grocery bags out the side of the car. Or have a pile of stuff in the back... Just something to show that he is running errands. It should convey trust and fast friendly service.

Requirements

Must have

• Inked outline, single color highlight, retro character look. I want the character to really stand out. Make the man a little too big for the car so you can see him really good. Add some detail to him but don't over do it. For instance, he can have buttons on his shirt but the buttons don't have to have holes. Please refer to Timo's logo & Monopoly Man that I've attached. That's really close to the feel I want.

Nice to have

• Possibly add some kind of shape around the logo to bring it all together. I would really like a banner somewhere for the business name to go into. Or some kind of 50's sign design shape. Maybe some simplistic houses in the distance or a road underneath. I'm just throwing out ideas. If you think of something better go for it. Last minute thought...maybe he's getting out of the car carrying the stuff instead of driving. Have fun!

Should not have

• Please do not submit a design that uses the images I attached. I have gotten into trouble with copyrights before and don't want to deal with that. Make sure it is an original design. By original I mean make sure everything is from your head and not just a copy of what I attached. I will not accept copies or close copies. Instead use them for inspiration for your idea. Don't go too crazy with all the vector bursts. I don't want it to be too busy behind the logo. No gradients please, only use solid colors.
