Our website design and content will reflect that:

We created BlueOptima to EMPOWER developers and their companies to create better software, faster and with less sweat!

The first solution of its kind, BlueOptima provides software developers, team leaders and executives with the world’s only Coding Effort Analytics that helps them create better quality code, faster. It’s a breakthrough in coding development and lifestyle, and our website should reflect this.

A strong analogy for BlueOptima is like vision goggles for developers. Developers have full visibility of their coding effort, past and present, and receive ongoing feedback on where, when, and how much coding effort they are delivering into the codebase. This keeps them on the right path and aware of where their code is impacting colleagues, or being impacted by them. The same applies to the team leader and executives. BlueOptima simply provides them with the management view of their teams activity and progress to empower them to make more objective, accurate and timely decisions.

This website should therefore reflect this “individual night vision goggles” benefit, in addition to the teamwork that this world-first service facilitates.

BlueOptima is also a very smart system that learns every developer’s, team’s and company’s past experience, and pro-actively alerts individuals and teams to avoid pit-falls and optimize processes based on their own previous projects, and that of colleagues. The website design should therefore reflect this smart, learning and collaborative environment.

Website structure:

The website is structured to clearly demonstrate this unique value with separate pages drilling down to present the benefits:
1. throughout the development team from individual developers to team leaders and executives (one section, 3 pages, 5 mini tabs within each page)
2. throughout the development cycle from project planning to coding, quality control and production (one section, 4 pages)

The website also includes some important informational pages such as pricing plans, About BlueOptima, a ‘featured integrations’ page and a ‘technology’ page.

That is, home page + 5 inside page templates plus three icons
• “Home”
o Including animated counter of source code commits benchmarked through Coding Effort AnalyticsTM.
o Includes graphics illustrating the benefits of Active Alterts.
• “Product” template
o Developer page (with 5 tabs: planning, coding, quality, production, outsourcing)
o Team leader page (with same 5 tabs)
o Executive page (with same 5 tabs)
• About & technology template - mainly text
o About may include inspirational image with working/happy developers
o Technology – may include supporting diagram image
• Plans & pricing template (a simple presentation of price plan alternatives)
• Featured integrations template (a visual display of recognized logos with short text)
• Blog – with landing page and inside post page. Including standard blog functionality – comments, share, author/date, etc. This should be suitable for use as a Blogger.com template
• Three Active Alert icons


The bottom line for our audience, and therefore our website, is this: We believe that for software developers, Return on Effort is the new Return on Investment because software developers are a key asset for any company.

The theme for our website is therefore: EMPOWERING developers and their companies to create better code, faster and with less sweat.

NOTE 3) The site will be ultimately coded into Liferay a template, theme, and CSS. Competitors are welcome to quote for the work to carry out this coding and to incorporate the copy provided by BlueOptima.

• A very human feel! Developers at work, not play, but clearly happy, focused, in control of their domain, empowered with the tools and ‘visibility’ they need to get their job done well, on time and on budget.
  
  We created our technology for developers, empowering them as individuals and valued assets to any company. Therefore inside the targeted sections of the website (see website structure notes above) we should therefore see them, their faces, and look into the eyes of developers, team leaders and executives.

• Icons in one strong theme throughout the website, for all the elements we discuss – including throughout the development cycle (planning, development, quality, production, outsourcing) and the pricing plans.
  
  The analogy of night vision goggles (personal, agile tool providing vision to the otherwise dark domain) may or may not work well.

Should not have

• Should not have a dark theme; we are bringing software development out of the dark, into the light.
  
  Should not have pages with crowded text or pages with only text; all pages should have some visual / image component.
