hi project manager can you provide samples of icon style that you like?

Re an "icon", every graphics only approach, while often appealing to the guys, missed completely with the women - they just went right past it - so my current thinking is that an emotive photo is required for that initial appeal. (was dragged to that position kicking and screaming!)
I have a rough concept done but am not wanting to influence the submissions, I'd prefer if you put up a concept based on a) something emotive that relates to dad and baby (hard to avoid a photo but try a graphic approach if you like) and b) clean but distinctive brand and app title (i.e. "In Dad's Care" and "Birth - 6 months"). Recently a lot of the app store icons are using textured backgrounds and more subtle colours.

So in summary we need not so much an icon, as a balanced combination of the elements above.

for this job the term "icon" means the entire combination of parts that will make up the App icon, i.e. not just a single graphic. That means combining "In Dad's Care" plus an emotive father/baby pic plus "birth - 6 months" in one icon.

The pic on your website has a great atmosphere to it, it's that sort of thing but related to father/baby.
