Art Design Brief

Hello,

first of all, let me shortly introduce myself: I am the singer of a german Band called 'Jenson McKenzie', we play classic/indie rock in the 1980's style. You can check out our stuff at

At the moment, we use a rather simplistic logo which is attached as the file "logo 1 (inv).png". For a while, however, I have had an idea of a greater and prettier logo inspired by the Queen crest (http://www.wallpaperpimper.com/wallpaper/Music/Queen/Queen-The-Classic-Queen-Crest-1-0S74G3M35G-1024x768.jpg0. Since I can't draw at all, the best thing I could do is to prepare a sketch with freely available images on the Internet (file "sketch.png").

So the general idea is to have a guitar in the middle, however I don't really like this V-shaped guitar, I would prefer something more like this: http://www.ckmusictuition.co.uk/Portals/6/Images/b-c-rich-platinum-beast-guitar-black.jpg . The crown over the guitar should probably be smaller and maybe look more like an imperial state crown and less like a diadem. The two swords, I thought, could look good, but they are optional, because maybe one can think of something better. In the middle, instead of the stupid looking shield maybe something else similar could be incorporated, but it should have the letters "JMK" in it, or, if it fits, our temporary simplistic logo. The fire in the background was a futile attempt to make the thing brighter, it really should be replaced by something different or removed completely. The name of the band below the logo should be written in some font which does not look too fancy and too heavy metal (so no hardcore gothic, please), but it should look somehow slightly rock'n'roll and slightly classic. Or maybe if you can think of a unique design of the name (like, for example, Scorpions: http://bandlogos.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/scorpions_logo_wallpaper.jpg) which would sort of suit our style, it would also be great.

Finally, the girls. The idea is that both girls should be naked (optionally wearing cowboy hats, if it fits). The left one should sit with her left leg standing in this upside-down V-shape so that we could have actually seen her genitals, if she would not cover them with the rose (which is exactly what she's supposed to do, the genitals should all be hidden behind the rose and not exposed). The girl on the right should also have her left leg in the upside-down V-shape so that this leg hides her genitals. And yes, she must hold the gun. This is a reference to Guns N' Roses which is our guitarrist's favorite band. And mine is Queen, hence the crown.

Around the whole thing some green stuff, some heraldics and other things may be addes so that it looks more complete. The important point is, the logo should look good on both white and black background. And one more important thing: it should by no means look completely symmetric. It won't be because of the girls alone, but also the other parts of the logo should not be entirely symmetric. Altogether the logo should look slightly cartoony (like slightly Disney style), but please no anime/manga stuff. Just don't :) .
