Logo Design Brief

We are a small family owned construction company that is based out of Davenport, IA. We specialize in residential construction-new and old. We want a logo that we can use that will make us stick out from other construction companies in our area, not just a picture of your basic hammer and roof, something that a client will remember. I've created business cards, banners and signs in the past with the regular stock photos but would like something unique to us. We want to look professional but are open to something that maybe different or even funny...My husband has joked about even having a fish burning something on the grill to symbolize Fishburn but I'm not sure how that would look. That's why we want some professional help and hopefully we'll find something great we love for our business! A shark for a mascot would be neat too...
