Logo Design Brief
Our New Company, "Smyth & O'Reilly Artisan Irish Distillers" needs a logo!
Based in Ballydarton House, Fenagh, Co. Carlow, Ireland we make Super Premium Gin for a younger market (25- 45 y/o). We will be exporting initially across Europe with a view to more international export including the USA. We have a huge amount of historical background for our distillery which you can draw from if you wish, please see attached information.
We are looking for a simple, clean, modern design possibly using the colours, Orange (Copper Stills), Grey (Stone, Slate and chrome,) and / or possibly black and white. We will require our logo to work in also black & white, greyscale and negative. We are not necessarily looking for a conventional design as we do want to stand out amongst our competitors.
We are open to the either a text driven logo or simple imagery and text.
In terms of font, we need a font that is easy to read from a distance and that will allow for easy transposition into: headed paper, signage, branded vehicles etc..
The key communications from the final design should impart: 1. Quality 2. History & Heritage. 3. Super premium products. 4. Trust.

Target Market(s)
Our products are aimed at the 25 to 45 year olds. They predominately live in an urban / semi urban location and have a higher than average disposable income. They are fashion and brand conscious. In terms of the geography of our market, we are initially exporting to Central and Southern Europe and will be pushing into the Americas in 2016.
