Logo Design Brief

Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) requires a logo for our 2016 national conference – Nurses: At the heart of primary health care.

APNA is the peak professional body for nurses working in primary health care. APNA champions the role of primary health care nurses; to advance professional recognition, ensure workforce sustainability, nurture leadership in health, and optimise the role of nurses in patient-centred care. APNA is bold, vibrant and future-focused. We reflect the views of our membership and the broader profession by bringing together nurses from across Australia to represent, advocate, promote and celebrate the achievements of nurses in primary health care.

Primary health care nurses are nurses that work in the community (not in hospital) such as in general practice, giving palliative and aged care, mental health, child and maternal health, sexual health, chronic disease management, for example. Therefore hospital-related images such as scrubs and stethoscopes are not appropriate for this design.

This is APNA's 8th national conference, and it aims to inspire and enhance nurses’ personal and professional development (education), whilst providing the opportunity for nurses to network with their colleagues from around Australia. A central idea to this conference is encouraging nurses to connect more with their colleagues. We would like to see a heart (and possibly hands) symbolised in the logo. Our corporate colours are blue and green (and white). Capitalisation of words will depend on what looks best.
