Logo Design Brief

Good Day, we are looking for a congress logo (medical international congress). As example, we've put the logos of the 3 previous congresses. They actually are an example of how not to do it... :-). They are fine, but look a little outdated. We are looking for something more professional.
The logo should contain the name of the event: EOS 2017
The destination: Montreux, Switzerland
The date: June 6 - 10, 2015
The full name of the event: 93rd Congress of the European Orthodontic Society.
As an additional info for the design: Montreux is known for the Montreux Jazz Festival, It's where Deep Purple recorded their hit "Smoke on the Water", and it's simply a beautiful scenic place near the Alps and the Lake. I believe lots of ideas can be taken out of the net.
