Logo Design Brief

Career Journeys and Academic Journeys are sister companies who share a common business philosophy and target customer. The customers are the parents of the clients. Both companies offer clients professional counseling, tutoring and guidance for academics, test preparation, school choice and career counseling via highly qualified and experienced academics and counselors. These companies are not the budget option nor the luxury option but rather the premium option.

Academic Journeys’ clients are from 3rd grade (age 9) through college (age 21). They are children of all academic abilities. Clients usually come for a specific need and then remain a client throughout the academic years using services as the need arises. Most common services are test prep for private school and college admission, college essay guidance, subject matter tutoring such as Chemistry and History, developing and maintaining effective studying and organization skills, and increasing fluency in writing, reading and mathematics.

Career Journeys’ clients are young adults from the age of 20 to 35. Clients come because they are having difficulty finding employment, no longer enjoy the career they had chosen, feel their future career options are too narrow or a skill weakness (public speaking, grant writing) has become career limiting. Most common services are individual counseling, topical seminars , coaching/training in networking and communications.

Now that the name of the two companies has been decided it is time for branding and creating the social media presence.

Logo(s) etc need to be developed to communicate to the target customer and to the client. The logos should be similar enough so it is clear the companies are connected but different enough to speak to the different client groups.
