Logo Design Brief

We need to improve our logo. The business specializes in improving fuel efficiency in trucks, tractors etc. The current logo we use is attached ( the 'O' in 'ECO' is supposed to be a fuel gauge pointing to FULL but people don't realise this.
I have also attached another image which might be help with design ideas, it is similar to what we have except there is a guy in the O pulling the fuel gauge towards full.

Not looking for a huge change, just an improved professional look which explains what we do.
