Book Cover Design Brief
This book cover is for a 100 page novella about a character called George Wexford who plays various roles in eco-rebellions, water wars and in rebuilding society through the 21st century. I want a retro-looking cover in the style of 1940s or 1950s action stories, or like Kurt Vonnegut front covers. I imagine the eco-rebell hero Wexford perhaps in military clothes, and behind him his foes, the enemies of nature, the men in Panama hats. The book is called Wexford, and the author is Ronald Stone.
The attached picture is of some Vonnegut front covers. An alternative style might be just two or three colours - perhaps the hero in silhouette with his military cap on or holding a gun, and his enemies in Panama hats in the background? Stylised rays of sun or something to suggest that this is an eco-dystopian novel.
