Amnesty International is the world’s largest independent human rights organisation. The Australian arm is seeking your help to promote and defend human rights.
We have a merchandise department that produces a range of products each year which enables people to support our cause and spread our message.
Each year we produce between 4 to 6 different T-shirt designs and this year we have decided to try this method to source some fresh designs and great new designers.
In the past, our t-shirt designs have been strongly linked to the campaigns that we have been running at the time. However, this year, we will be looking to get some designs that are completely different in style, are more aesthetically pleasing and relate to the core beliefs and values of our global organisation.
Designs that relate to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a famous quote about human rights or that celebrates our 50th anniversary are all along the lines of what we are looking for.
We are also looking for some designs that people will be happy to wear any day of the week. Our T Shirt customers are of all ages, and are generally looking for something contemporary. It could be street art style or retro or just designing something around our logo and text is not compulsory.
We have only a short time to get some great designs – so we encourage you to get started.
For more information about Amnesty International Australia, and to get an idea of our branding, visit our web site www.amnesty.org.au. For information about our 50th, please visit www.amnesty.org.au/50. Remember that we are looking for something totally different to our old range, but our current T-shirt range can be found here http://shop.amnesty.org.au/shop/view_our_range2/products?cid=43
Artists will be credited on our merchandise web site. Popular and successful designs may be utilised globally – taking your design to the world!

We seem to be getting a lot of designs that have strong messages or that are fairly "in your face". It may not be clear in the project brief, but we are looking to get away from that this year and leave that style of t-shirt to our Campaigns department.

I would like to thank everyone for submitting your designs for our new t-shirt range. Unfortunately, we can only pick a few of you, but there were some good designs that came really close to winning.

Requirements
Must have
- We will need to have our logo somewhere on the t-shirt, but it does not have to be the main part of the design and can be as big or small as you like.
