Logo Design Brief

This logo will be the logo of an IT company established in South of Brazil, Paraná state. The local tree there is called a pinheiro (https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSBuOjkBTa1Cy17BgJYo5YoiG3vVVYHqjp148J63KPJbumn2GIguQ), its fruit the pinha (http://www.kino.com.br/galerias2/GIMNOSPERMA/images/prevs/KN006853.jpg) and the seeds are the pinhão (http://www.dimasdecampos.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/206800_10150138322874419_6333121_n.jpg). We need a clean, neat logo representing either the pinheiro or the pinha and which should somehow express technology or IT. Colors are open, but those expressing stability and reliability are preferred.
We like the Comfortaa typeface, but are open to any proposition. The logo should not be brazil-specific and useable anywhere in the world.
