Our website www.viewretreats.com specialises in unique & luxury holiday accommodation in Australia & New Zealand. We are currently redesigning our website so that it better matches the elegant and stylish properties that we promote.
We would like to rework our current logo so that it fits better with our new designs. We are looking for something simple, stylish and inline with our current positioning. Please see the current logo on the existing website and the slight variation on the new homepage design attached.
Ideally, the new logo will be an evolution of the current design.
Further design notes are as follows;
- We would prefer a word mark over an icon-based design
- We like the idea of the word "View" being in a handwritten/script font (although this isn't essential)
- If colour is to be used, we'd prefer something similar to the existing colours (3399CC) or (3399FF)
- The logo will predominantly be used on the dark grey background shown in the new site design (although not always)
- It would be ideal if the logo could be used in both square and rectangular formats
- The final design should communicate a modern, stylish, elegant feel
- We would also like to see versions that incorporate our new positioning line, which is "Boutique Getaways"
- We require final designs in a range of different file formats and including black/white versions, transparent backgrounds etc

We have also attached some rough mockups of ideas. These are similar to what we're looking for, although we're definitely not designers! :) We need someone to improve upon these ideas or present us with something totally new that still meets the brief.

Must have
- - Must show versions with just the brand name (ie. View Retreats) and versions that include the positioning line (Boutique Getaways).
- - The primary place the logo will be used is on the grey navigation bar shown in the website homepage design. This is narrow already, and even smaller on mobile, so a strong, easy to read rectangular version is essential.
Nice to have
- Script/handwritten font for part of the logo (View or VR)
- Same/similar colour palate to existing logo and the website (if colour is used at all)
