Logo Design Brief

Strong corporate identity and logo needed for a start-up business web site called "Mosaic5."

The site will cater to an upscale readership consisting of English speaking investors and professionals who have a hard time finding foreign news in their native language, i.e. in English. Mosaic5 will provide Reader's Digest like summaries of articles published by leading media outlets around the world, translated in English.

Wiki: Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It may be a technique of decorative art, an aspect of interior decoration, or of cultural and spiritual significance as in a cathedral.

The number "5" is used to relate to the 5 major continents from which the site will source original content.

We are looking for a logo that conveys the following:

1. Quality and trustworthiness, yet also creativity.

2. An international flair since we will be aggregating, curating and publishing news from well over 100 foreign countries.

3. Originality. This is a massive undertaking and, in our opinion, an idea whose time has come. Why should English only speakers be limited to new published in their language only? We are looking to create a paradigm shift in what news is accessible to those readers and make previously inaccessible stories available to them via a click of the mouse.

Examples: what does Swiss daily "Le Temps" (published in French) think about "Swiss banking secrecy"? Or is "Cameroon Info's" opinion of the most recent kidnappings in Northern Cameroon?
