Border Grill, a 3-unit fast casual Mexican restaurant concept is reinventing one of their locations

Can you attach a clearer picture of the "Border Bird"? Also, can you tell me what kind of bird it is? What is the current logo's bird based off of?
Thank you for your time!
I will try to figure out how to attach a PDF of the logo. The "Border Bird" was created by my partner when we first opened. The inspiration was some Mexican artwork... resembles some Aztec or Mayan symbols. No intent to be any particular bird. Thanks for taking the time to get more info and for your interest in my project!

I have added a copy of the Border Grill logo as someone asked for more detail of the "Border Bird". Thanks to all for your participation!
Thank you for attaching the logo and the border bird. I quite like it. And no problem. If you want a specifically look its up to the artist to interpret the clients interest.
But I ask, as I need some clarification- Do you want an accompanying logo, one that looks and feels just like the border grill logo but with a more traditional feel, or a stand alone logo, which is something entirely new and different?
Good morning (at least where I am!). Thanks for your probing questions. We want this to be a stand-alone idea and can be entirely different. We are a small community so many people know and refer to us as "BG" already. That's why I don't think the new logo needs to say "Border Grill". it doesn't have to incorporate the "bird" but that would be a nice tie-in to the parent brand. The Bird has become our symbol like the Golden Arches are for McDonald's. I hope this helps Thanks, Dan
Hello! It was morning for me too, I am actually not too far away. I'm from chicago!!!!
And you are very welcome. I just submitted my designs. If you could provide me with feedback that would be awesome!
