Logo Design Brief

We are a new business exporting gourmet food from Australia, primarily meat/smallgoods, cheese and pantry items. Our primary customer interface will be an e-commerce website so the style of the logo will be continued into web design.
We would like to incorporate white and red into the design, preferably the dark red of Kitchenaid appliances. We're also interested in including weathervane elements or farm animals into the design.
The design should appeal to foodies and communicate a high quality, sophisticated and edgy approach.
We've uploaded some designs from another DesignCrowd project which we like as a starting point.
