Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for a new travel blog I'm creating called Good and Lost. The logo should say Good and Lost and have some sort of icon that represents travel. I made a logo with a sailboat and thought it could work. I would prefer for it to NOT be an airplane, but if an airplane worked well then that would be okay.
You can see a sample page layout here:

The tricky part to this design is that it needs to be able to work on top of an image--it can't have a solid color as a background. I can, however, make a gradient overlay on the image to help the logo stand out better. For example, there is currently a black to alpha overlay above the image and behind the logo.
It would be nice to also get a version of the logo that would work on a solid white background.
I would like the logo to use the color blue. I started with #009fbf but I'm totally open to changing that.
