Logo Design Brief

"They say do what you love to!" Enjoy your work!" Right?

I want you to have fun with this project! I do have a few firm details, but they are not absurd. I promise, this is a design you will enjoy. If your design is chosen, you will be used for t-shirt and flyer design upon launch of company.

I am commissioning this piece for college textbook/resource exchange company called "Kickin' Class". The target audience is college kids. I mean really, what age group could be more fun and nonchalant? I want it to have an edgy feel. Kickin class is a pun off kickin ass, so yes there will be a donkey involved.

The logo should function as a combined piece (Picture+Text) and a separate pieces (picture) (text)

The donkey: Should be cartoonish in nature. I have included a picture of what I want the donkey want it to look like. My drawing abilities are limited so please forgive me. The donkey needs to be brown in color, focus mainly on the torso facing forward with a more condensed mildly short stubby remainder of body. Back foot should appear to be kicking logo text.
A possible idea might be
Kickin' Class with "class" being kicked by the donkey hoof
Class is a pun for ass. the donkey is kicking it. See how that works. It's all subliminal.

Other than what I've listed I would like the donkey to have, the rest is up to you!! So to help guide you in your design process and give you some sense of direction, I'll describe below what the logo should FEEEEEL like.


Here are some characteristics you ought to keep in mind when bringing this logo to life:

- ("Kickin' Class like Kickin' Ass" *snicker *snicker)
- This logo is FUN. It makes a serious matter (passing all of your college exams) not so serious but more playful and fun. Something that catches eye, sparks a chuckle or laugh, and is memorable the very next time the student sees even just the donkey. {"Oh yeah, I remember, that was a pretty funny donkey! I may not remember what the company was exactly but it was definitely a pretty hilarious concept!" -said random college student}
-The company is controversial and needs to have a controversial feel when it is seen by it's audience.
The college student needs to feel like they are beating the system, getting the same for less but like it is their secret idea. {It's not illegal, or against school policy, so it is technically aloud right?} And I promise that it is.{Using this service will save/make me money, save me time AND I'LL HAVE AWESOME GRADES? SIGN ME UP!}

Nice to have

• Donkey and Logo able to be used separately and look good

Should not have

• I don't want it to look like a freakin' word art compilation. I had submission by a professional company and I instantly knew the font name and within 1 google search and found the vector stock image. The graphic design and marketing gods frown upon that.
  
  I'll tell you off the bat, I'm not really a fan of putting the donkey in a frame, but I've been wrong before. Just make sure you are really confident.
