Illustration Design Brief

I'm looking for a key image to go along with our logo for our foundation.
The name of the foundation is Make a Difference Project which we will shorten to the MAD project, after all we live in a MAD world. Our tag line is Despair breeds inactivity, hope breeds movement, join our M.A.D world. Our aim is to facilitate opportunities for people who want to make a difference and are looking for reliable ways to do so. We research projects for their ethical, moral and viable outcomes and present them to this audience. We are focussed on education, sustainability and empowerment. We go on in our marketing material to say Imagine this, if we are all at least doing something instead of nothing, each and every action will create a global reaction.

A draft of our logo and a feel for what I'm looking for is attached, this would be the header on our website and be used for flyers we create etc. The background image I have posted I find too corporate, we are looking at something a little more casual and earthy (without using the over used symbols of earth and hands joined) and something that involves both men and women of all ages. Im looking for a yellow theme or colours that work well with yellow as yellow is the sign of hope.

I'm mostly looking for a new illustration to replace what I have posted here, what I like about is everyone seems to be walking toward a common goal, they are not rushing but they are doing something and together it is a big thing..each individual contributes to make the group look powerful. The logo we will keep as is unless you have any suggested changes to go along with the image? We're still in development stage here.
