CD Cover Art for New york Horns' next CD release

This is what IsleyMusic LLC was looking for in their CD cover design

Looking for cover art for New York Horns, a New York based horn section and band. Our musical style is urban influenced soul and R&B with some jazz, rock and americana influences. Very organic and not overproduced or too "slick". We're looking for designs that incorporate a classic NY vibe and the energy of the city but that aren't too dark or brooding.

The primary focus of the band is the horn section - hence, New York Horns - consisting of trumpet, tenor saxophone and trombone. The band also includes guitar, hammond B3 organ, bass and drums.

One point of reference would be the work of David Stone Martin who designed many iconic jazz album covers in the 50's and 60's. But we are also open to modern, contemporary design as well.

I cannot emphasize enough that this is NOT a jazz project. There are jazz elements and influences to the music, but we view this as more accessible than the description "jazz" would lead one to believe. PLEASE listen to the referenc… Read more
